I am fascinated by behavior that explores the socially unacceptable as well as the insider vs outsider mentality that exists along the fringes of society. I love the idea that i can do things in a painting that i am unable to do in real life, for instance taking revenge.

I am currently working on a fictional story entitled A Wretched Little World, which references themes of immigration and explores the complex relationships between power and control, innocence and guilt, injustice and equality and oppression and freedom. My work features a cast of eqully lovable yet frighting characters that reference archeytypal roles in storytelling such as the hero, villain, magical helper and trickster.
